The Aspen Medical Practice was formed following the merger of four practices (Heathville, Barnwood, London Road and Saintbridge Medical Practices) in April 2018.
The practice is currently operating in a climate with increasing pressures and fewer available resources and health care professionals. As isolated practices they were unable to recruit and this was adding to the burden of existing doctors and staff.
The senior partners saw an opportunity to work differently and shape the practice where they could provide high quality modern care to patients whilst preserving the wellbeing of the health care professionals and all staff delivering that service.

As part of this change it is important to give practice staff and patients the opportunity to, where possible, share decision-making in the running of the practice. To provide for patients to make positive suggestions about the practice, and be an advocate for patient preferences when appropriate.
As Aspen serves approximately 30K registered patients we have decided to invite expressions of interest and raise the level of membership from 25 to 30 serving members................
