Gloucestershire Patient Participation Group (PPG) Network

Countywide PPG Network Meeting Friday 23rd April 2021

Georgie Kemp has agreed to represent Aspen at the next Countywide PPG Event and will report back to the group on key points raised.  The meeting scheduled for Friday 23 Apr will focus on the following:

Locality sessions

We have also added 30 minutes to the end of the main network meeting to allow PPG members from each locality to have an opportunity to hear more about their area and to meet PPG representatives from their locality. We are starting this from Friday with the first locality being Gloucester.

Spotlight on… Communicating with your PPG and patients

The Spotlight session for this meeting is the topic that came second in the last poll so we felt that we should give some time to it.

Following feedback after the last meeting, the Spotlight will be co-chaired by two PPG network members. A big thank you to Ros and Rita for agreeing to being the first to try this approach.

In order to help with the discussions on Friday please could we ask you to complete a very short survey about how you currently communicate with your PPG or patient population. The survey is here https://getinvolved.glos.nhs.uk/ppg-network/survey_tools/communicating-with-your-ppg-and-patients

Topic Taster Session: Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

As a team, we have been working with quite a few PPG’s and Practices across the county over the last few months, with some fantastic work taking place. There has been a discussion with most of these around equality, diversity and inclusion so Caroline has kindly agreed to talk a bit about this very broad subject with the plan that further discussions can be had at future meetings.
