Supporting GP Practices – Patient Participation Groups


From April 2016, it has been a contractual requirement for all English GP practices to form a Patient Participation Group (PPG). Gloucestershire PPG Network Event

The PPG network event took place on Friday 22nd November 2019.  The event was hosted by the Clinical Commissioning Group at the CHURCHDOWN Community Centre in Gloucester.

This was a packed agenda covering a number of topics for the PPGs from physical and mental health care presented by Gloucestershire Health & Care Community Trust.  Rob Fountain from Age concern presented the Knead to Know Project - positive later life planning in the community.

Following the break the event had a presentation as part of the spot light on section about the use of technology in your PPG.  To complete the event Joanne Appleton presented personal care plans in Gloucestershire.  The event was well attended from across the county and the next meeting is planned for the 14th February 2020.
